Managing and Tracking Your Reservations
The Reservations Dashboard is your central hub for monitoring guest bookings. From this panel, you can track performance metrics, filter specific dates, and manage the status of every request.
1. Reservation Overview (Top Metrics)
At the top of the page, you will find a quick summary of your restaurant's activity:
- Total Reservations: The overall number of bookings received.
- Pending: New requests waiting for your review.
- Confirmed: Reservations that have been officially accepted.
- Total Guests: The total number of people expected based on all bookings.
2. Using Filters and Search
To find specific bookings quickly, use the filter bar. You can sort reservations by:
- Status: View bookings by their current state (All, Pending, Confirmed, Cancelled, or Completed).
- Date: Select a specific day to see your schedule.
- Search: Quickly find a reservation by the guest's name.
3. Understanding the Recent Reservations List
The Recent Reservations card displays all the details you need to manage your service:
- Date & Time: When the guest is expected.
- Name: The primary contact name for the booking.
- Guests: The number of people in the party.
- Contact: The guest’s email and phone number for direct communication.
- Status: The real-time state of the booking (Pending, Confirmed, or Cancelled).
4. Taking Action
In the Actions column, you have the power to manage each request:
- View: See the full details of the reservation.
- Confirm: Officially accept the booking.
- Cancel: Reject or cancel the booking if necessary.
Note: When you confirm or cancel a reservation, the system automatically sends an email notification to the customer to keep them informed.
Pro Tip: Check your "Pending" reservations frequently. Fast confirmation times improve customer satisfaction and guarantee a better dining experience.
